Curious where ppillisi is at these days. Are you at the stage where you can translate/compose poetry yet? Or are you still in the vocab/grammatical trenches? Asking for a me. 👀
alas, ppillisi is still at its perennial state of "bad." about four months ago i had a mad 48-hour bender of (sorta) learning regexes to build an automatic verb synopsizer, which did teach me a lot about regexes, and did get me to think powerfully about the stupid complicated verb system. but it also…left me a little burnt out from such a crunch of work, lol.
i did spend most of the day cleaning the dust off of my dictionary, though. a little over 600 words! and some shiny new phonemes (c /q/ and ț /d͡ʑ/). the downside of fun new sounds of course is that i've got to go update the entire lexicon, which will undoubtedly take a while. i guess i have the thought of poetry to sustain me through standardizing romanization, thinking about what sounds are/n't produceable by the nonhumans of the setting, finishing the font/coding the ime, etc.?
