in certain specific avenues i am growing up faster than my friends for reasons that are no one's fault and, because of this, im struggling to be supportive of the ways in which they are falling behind. which im worrying is actually limiting their growth and is making them view the things in which ive grown as symbols of contrarian pretentiousness instead of cognitive incline. i think the way for me to combat this is to try harder at seeing the best in them and attempt at conditioning them via positive reinforcement
