Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. // Psalm 17:8 😍 'Marathoning' the book of Psalm for the past nights. I like how the author could really be very honest of his prayers and how he would cry out to God his sufferings, agonies, miseries. I remember the quote I read that's now one of my faves from Oswald Chamber; 🌙 'When you are joyful, be joyful; when you are sad, be sad. If God has given you a sweet cup, don't make it bitter; and if He has given you a bitter cup, don't try and make it sweet; take things as they are.' 👍 But after he cries out to God, surely he was comforted and restored and rescued by God's STEADFAST LOVE that comforts him every time as he waits upon the Lord and trusts Him. Psalm 13:5 'But I have trusted in your steadfast love, my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.' 'I don't know what to pray anymore...' - I confided to a friend when I was so miserable. She then reminded me to pray the honest prayers I could utter. To really humble my self before God. To rest upon His steadfast love that never fails to save and to rescue. I found myself waiting and trusting Him. I found myself being comforted by His steadfast love. I found myself in His amazing grace. #03132016 #posttolookbackto #psalm #biblereading #appleoftheeye
