Getting my winter clothes.
When we first moved, I only brought my summer clothes since we would be there for the nice weather. I figured that once we got settled I would just have my other stuff mailed to me.Â
We got settled.
I got the winter clothes package sent to me.
It was ridiculously expensive.Â
It cost about $100 to have the package mailed to me. Once I got notice that I could go pick up the package, I found out it cost 936sek (about $150) to pay for my package to go through customs. A total of about $250 spent on getting my things here.
Turns out, my sister listed the package as being worth a lot of money. Around $500 for everything in the box. We looked it up, and there are limits placed on how big/expensive a package can be. That's why it had to go through customs and that's why it cost so much to pick up.
Good thing I look so good in winter clothes or I'd be pissed.
