the thing is that ageplay per se is not exactly what I'm into, right. i think my kink is infantilization. as distinct from infantilism. it's not the being in a childlike mental state it's the being treated like one, the often-embarrassing underminings of autonomy or independence, the "oh no let me help you with that", the "i don't think you should be doing that on your own" the "are you sure you can hold it?".
our lavina comics were very devoted to exploring certain shades of this i think. the desexualized and pragmatic way that red treated her intimate needs and the way she constantly just like-- assumed she wasn't competent to take care of herself and needed a more structured and controlled life, and kinda existed in the context of a system that assumed that as well. you know?
like petplay and ageplay elements are definitely involved but-- the fact that you still have your full adult faculties (at least, you know, part of the time, in most ways) is an important element of the dynamic. how else are you supposed to be embarrassed and have to grapple with your flustered feelings about it.
