#posting 2016

i apologize for the length in advance but all of this info is important and pertains to posting so pls read through it all carefully!

.✧. posting on archives of choice .✧.

you may not post before your assigned posting date, but you may post-date.

(i repeat, do not post your work anywhere before your assigned posting date!!!)

post-dating is the act of drafting your work on your archive of choice so that its easily posted on your posting date. not all archives have the post-dating option. the following are examples on how to post and post-date on the most popular archives!

ao3

post to the collection miyusawaregularbang16.

to post-date, set your fic to post on your assigned date like in this example. works set to a different date do not automatically post on that date.

if not post-dating, there are other options such as saving as a draft or just posting on your assigned post date.

tumblr

put the tag #misawa big bang 2016 somewhere in the first five tags OR @ daiyabigbang in the body of the post.

the only archive with an automatic posting option for post-dating (ie the schedule option).

if post-dating, schedule your post for your assigned date like in this example.

livejournal

this bang isnt associated with lj so there are no required tags.

if post-dating, set your work to post on your assigned date like in this example.

ffnet and elsewhere

ffnet, deviantart, and pixiv do not have post-dating abilities so you must wait until your assigned date to post to these archives.

im unfamiliar with other archiving options tbh so if your preferred archive is anything else i wont be able to help you but maybe someone else can! just send in an ask and ill put the word out.

tumblr is the only archive on which you can schedule a post. the other archives can be post-dated but must be posted manually on your posting date; post-dating on these basically just means that when its time to post your draft all you need to do is click ‘post’ and itll post with the correct date.

posts need to include the proper warnings and ratings according to your content. you should follow these guidelines for warnings, or the guidelines of your archive of choice.

at the very least, you are required to link to your partners post somewhere in yours. this means if youre writing and post on ao3 you need to mention your artist partner and link to their post somewhere in your notes or body of the fic. you may also insert your partners images into the text, or include blocks of the fic on the art post (ie quotes from the fic that may describe the scenes portrayed, etc) but doing these are not required.

.✧. submitting your links .✧.

on your assigned posting date either the writer or the artist must submit to this blog the following template, including links to your works.

links must be submitted here by 17:00 cdt on your posting date. if youve forgotten your posting date you can check here. if you are late, your work may not be posted until the next day due to my work hours.

you must also submit your banner at this time unless you emailed it in during final due date. your template will be combined with your banner and posted to the bang blog as a showcase post.

if this post looks rly familiar its bc it is =3c but there are some important differences between this post and the original due date post so pls read it anyway!

.✧. extension due date submission .✧.

as with the check-ins, this final submission will be done by email. the difference here is in this case i just want one email per partnership, so decide between you which one will email and make sure that person has access to everything needed for the final submission.

all participants must send emails to [email protected] no later than 23:59 cdt on your extension due date. for most of you that date is sept 17th, but many of you have a due date that is just a handful of hours before your posting date, so its imperative that you know your due date and get your works to me on time.

your emails should include the same information as in the original final due date post, here.

a banner is a required part of posting to this blog. information on the banner can be found in the original final due date post, here.
