POV 1: You take the Circular Line in the morning, coffee in hand, with hastened steps and determined to finally speak to the mystery woman on the metro with a certain fall of hair who does not leave your mind. Neither do her Jeans. You probably counted the hours. Even more so since she was not there at her regular spot yesterday. After finishing your coffee, you separate and recycle cup and lid with a fluid, practically automatic motion.

POV 2: You missed the usual metro connection in the morning (again, regretfully) where you were hoping to reencounter the most beautiful business shark on the face of the earth. (Marta. Her name is Marta. And that was her brother on Friday! Also how can her eyes be so Blue?) So you're trying to catch her after work at the station she boards every day except wednesdays. You wait sitting on the platform bench close to the exit, reading source material for your dissertation and looking up at each incoming train, scanning the crowd, hopeful and anxious to see Marta step off.

POV 1, later: You see the incredibly pretty mystery woman with the books across the train tracks on the platform where you usually would step off from work. Are you hallucinating? Very likely, though then she calls out to you and you tell her to wait before the incoming train prevents further immediate communication. In a rush to catch her on the other side lest she board the train, you practically leap up the stairs, nearly cause an accident and then another as you see her at the bottom of the escalator, smile widening. And those 100+ hours you counted have long been forgotten.

In yesterday's episode (504) Cloe finally grew a spine and stood up for herself in front of Gabriel, the most clown to ever clown CEO of the merger company, and it was really refreshing to see and I think it showed some real growth on her part which she was already building up since her crush best friend Valentina arrived at the colonia. I know, I know, I had my gripes with her in T2 and I'm still not entirely convinced about the near 180 the show pulled after the time skip (I have entirely other gripes with time skips and so far I only found them to be believable in One Piece except that they bleached Nico Robin I'll never forgive them for that but that's entirely besides the point). BUT this mostly stems from, I believe (and I'm sure others have written or commented about this as well), her being a mere plot device in T2 and doing everything Brossard told her to without second guessing so that the main characters can yell at her how unjust everything is. Or being pushy bordering on aggressive towards Marta to try and make a dent in the full plate armour Marta has donned after Fina left -- an armour she is well familiar with and had to wear all her life before knowing what love is thanks to Fina but that's a whole another topic so.

After the time skip and whatever thrilling coffee dates must have happened Cloe is now presented as a fleshed out character with acutal backstory (not that we know too much yet) and ties to the setting via Valentina in the past and present and of course Marta in the present -- in both cases it seems like Cloe fell way harder than her counterpart and especially with the latter the show makes a clear distinction who always occupies Marta's heart (which @mrsdaphnefielding, @wirepaladin and the mafin fandom at large have definitely elaborated on).

Finally circling back to the above mentioned growth: It bothered her that Digna called her out that she didn't defend Luis' idea of bringing a new high-end perfume to the market and it sure as hell bothered her that Valentina was disappointed in her for not doing more for Merche. That she then actually faced Gabriel and told him what minuscule amount of salt he's worth and that Brossard would drop him any minute was such a stark contrast to the Cloe in T2 who didn't bat an eye at dismissing half the staff, changing the shop uniforms and ways of saleswomanship they had to implement or else only get half the pay the used to get etc etc

Another big contrast in T2: Cloe was well aware and even told Marta that she cannot give her the same epic romance that Marta has lived and (temporarily) lost. In T3 however, she confesses to Valentina that she's never felt anything like this for anyone. If that isn't a clear and easy to follow recipe towards a hearty heartbreak...

So why this 180 now? Most definitely it's to make her more sympathetic and amp up the drama even more once Fina swaggers back to Toledo and gosh darn it show, you did it. You made me care about Cloe.

sorry but this cut from the shop with Claudia saying Carmen is happily married straight to María moping at the kitchen table was the most funny choice ever, I had to laugh! She's miserable and about to be kicked out of the house!! This was her episode imo

also she really hates all the staff at the moment what is wrong with her xD
