I made a Papyrus OC.
Post-pyrus (Tag name: Paperplane) 💌
This is a Papyrus variant that born from the purest belief of Papyrus(es) across the multiverse.
Post-pyrus possesses a scarf that can continuously extend itself into letters (the thoughts Papyrus wanted to say to Sans before the fight with Player, or before accompanying them on their journey in the Neutral/Pacific Route). Post-pyrus cuts these letters apart, folds them carefully, and seals them with unique wax stamps so each letter knows exactly where it belongs and which AU it must reach. Afterwards, Post-pyrus folds them into paper airplanes and sends them flying.
These paper airplanes travel toward Sanses who are either grieving the loss of their brother, or walking through a Pacifist route alongside Papyrus and the Player.
The paper airplanes become a source of motivation and determination for those Sanses, ensuring they never lose the will to keep their AU alive and prevent it from falling into ruin.
The only cases Post-pyrus cannot handle are AUs where Papyrus does not exist and AUs that can no longer be saved in time (the clearest example being Dusttale).
Post-pyrus was created from the purest faith held by Papyruses throughout the multiverse. The messages carried within the letters are always sincere and straightforward, because the faith of Papyrus is itself sincere and unwavering. Papyrus believes in the goodness within every individual, in “HOPE”, the very belief that helped save all monsters from the Underground.
That is why the paper airplanes will always find the person who needs them at the exact right moment. Post-pyrus will do everything possible to ensure that nothing can stop them.
The tragedy of Dusttale occurred because one letter became trapped within the chaos of the multiverse. It was obstructed long enough for the perfect moment to pass, leaving behind nothing but bitterness and despair. That is why Post-pyrus will never allow something like that to happen again.
Another unique thing about Post-pyrus is that he has no Sans of his own. Because of this, he often reads the letters born from the beliefs of other Papyruses and imagines what it would feel like to have a brother of his own.
Much like Ink and Error, Post-pyrus does not belong to any specific AU, yet he is capable of creating something meaningful for countless other universes through his own existence.
Post-pyrus usually avoids involving himself in dangerous conflicts. If the letters were ever destroyed, the determination within countless Sanses would gradually fade away as well. Because of this, if attacked, Post-pyrus will avoid direct conflict whenever possible.
However, if someone interferes with the path of the paper airplanes, Post-pyrus will risk everything to ensure they are never stopped. He does not fight to defeat others, only to hold them back long enough for the paper airplane to safely reach its destination without being slowed down, interrupted, or prevented from arriving.
To Post-pyrus, that alone is already considered a “win.”
Post-pyrus can open portal to other universe and cut open different dimensions with the same scissor he used to cut the letter from his scarf.
