I hate the decision to have Talia change her name to “Head” as a way to separate herself from her father because it’s such cheap execution with thinly veiled racism. If she wants to separate herself from her father, why use a name that refers to him (because, and let’s be honest, that’s what it is)? But more importantly, are we not supposed to see the way she takes up an English name after giving up her father’s very not white name? Had they given a name that wasn’t white, I would’ve accepted it, but I’m not standing for the downgrade of “Talia al Ghul” to “Talia Head”.
