☀ – a hug from behind

snowfall in the land of departure didn’t occur very often. terra could vaguely recall a distant memory of warm drinks and a marvel of white, nothing more. this year, however, it had been a particularly cold winter, frost forming atop the long blades of grass and spiderwebs of ice just barely glazing the surface of the seas. that morning, as the sun just graced the horizon and dawn set in, he awoke to see the land blanketed in snow. without a moment’s hesitation he rushed outside. and after a single step into the morning, he realized just what freezing meant. before he could turn and retrieve a coat, a sudden force enveloped him. it was a pair of arms, wrapping quickly around him in a warm embrace. tensing at first, he relaxed as a somewhat mischievous giggle betrayed the identity of his captor – aqua.  

you should have worn a jacket, she chides, voice dancing right by his ear.  ❛ actually, i think the one i’m wearing now is great. talks a bit too much, though.  ❜  he could hardly contain a laugh as she gasped at his teasing, and with a great heave, pushed him into the snow before them. generally, it was quite the task to whisk him off of his feet, but he hadn’t his guard up this time. he did manage to grasp one of her arms and drag her down with him, though. that… almost counts as a win. if he weren’t, well, completely frozen from head to toe.     ❛ haha-hey-hey – we stay together from now on, right?  ❜  the winning smile he offered was then immediately met with a face full of icy cold snow.
