The Queen signs the last paper.
âThis is the next right thing to doâ
It was the 15th year of Her Majestyâs regime, and Arendelle have established The Assembly by her Majestyâs order. Lawmaking and justice process authorities had already passed on to commoners from royals.
The last paper Her Majesty just signed is about how the government is formed, and approval of the founding constitution or Arendelle Republic with its first ever elected president by the people.
There is no more Queen or King in Arendelle. All of her and her husbandâs personnel belongs had moved to her new home near border of Arendelle and Northaldra. What only left is a ceremonial event.
Numerous political parties tried to invite Her Majesty. The Queen refused. Her Majesty was the most popular figure by other prominent figures want to greet in person. The Queen refused. There was an attempt to idolize The Queen. The Queen refused and banned.
The Queen felt being a kingdom is a lost cause. Neighboring countries is changing the form of government with less or none dynasty. A republic like Southern Isle by a revolution caused by oppression to the commoners. Or become a constitutional monarchy like Corona, by smart blue bloods who still wants keep the privilege but no more governing, because waving hand is all they need to do. And dozens more by any reason in between. However, Arendelle was an absolute kingdom. And the people still want her ruling. But She did not enjoy keeping it as a kingdom as reminding how her father became the boy king, or how her elder sister became the queen unprepared. The royal bloodline itself was the curse. It was never the magic.
The day Elsa ran away, she told The future Queen to go back and do whatever she wants to do, like opening up the gates. But she did not please of being a ruler. She did not think herself as the destined leader by spirits, but Elsa wanted her to be the Queen. So she took that weight of the crown. But it was too heavy.
A word of her changes a law, A word of her raises a new city, A word of her rids a man. She did remembered all of Arendelle, or the contents of books in the royal library. However, the question âam I the Queen because of blood?â, that bugged her. Because she was not the best in every corner of matter. Even this choice is what the voice inside me told me to do, but is this really a next right thing to do for all? She could never solve a differential equation like Elsa did to find the right price for products nor make a blueprint of functioning palace in a day. She never could conquer mountains like Kristoff and find a new shelter. But she commends the kingdomâs economy and people into the unknown lands. Why this is justified?
Adding this nonsense, why do four elemental spirits follow her? By saving forest from the curse her grandfather caused? That was just right thing to do. It was the next right thing to fix the past and tell everyone grim truth of our history that we are sinners. And suddenly Northaldra forgives us. Yelena even suggested an alliance saying âAn action tells more than thousands words.â The Queen of Arendelle And the other end of 5th Spirit had to accept the offer because of magical end of 5th Spirit, Elsa.
Those are the reasons behind why Her Majesty delegated powers to the people. The power and responsibility that follows splits to the ordinary. And one day, Her Majesty want into be simply, Anna, with no titles, free from all burdens.
She need not argue because of the heir. It was the worst when Elsa was The Queen. Because she never had an interest in man. And still a problem to her childrenâs future. She wanted them to be free like Elsa did.
She need not say âI am busyâ to Olaf. She can play with him anytime she wants to. All the books he read, all the people he surprised by seeing living snowman, all the maturing of him she did not know he has will be with her.
She need not feel sorry to Kristoff. She can have a date whenever she wants, wherever she wants, without worrying her and his word and action would impact people. And it was the best for the Kristoff, who was the worst when it comes to formal etiquettes.
She need not wait friday night to see Elsa. She can simply visit the Enchanted Forest whenever she wants without a schedule, a treaty, an agreement to make. There will be no millions of questions for whatever she says and wherever she goes in the territory of Northaldra. She can live like when she was a princess, after opening up the gates and before the awakening of spirits, but better with even bigger family. She knew Elsa always pleased to see her, but did not come more often because she knew how busy she would be. All of this, no more.
But most of all, Anna can have her sole own time, just for her.
That is the last line of thoughts when Her Majesty left front door of the Arendelle castle. The Queen gave the last paper singed to the first elected president, took a commemorative photo, and left as simply, Anna.
But the people kept calling Anna, The Great Queen. She throws herself to save Elsa, came back from death, eternal winter thaws with full control of power, and saves everyone.
She did the next right thing in the darkest and desperate time, save the Enchanted Forest from curse, made elemental spirits save Elsa, save Arendelle from the past sin, an old foe turned into an alliance, and saves everyone, again.
The new alliance was magical, with the power of four elemental spirits, the technology lag behind was not a problem during Industrial revolution. The people of sun inspired from outside world technology, enhanced connection with forest using technology. The people of Arenfjord figured how to connect with spirits to make a great use in their technology. They were different but become dependent, as going together made progress even faster. And Anna made sure no one is lagging behind like Weselton, where violent industrial and communist revolution had gone.
There was even more aggressive immigration policy than former Queen, but the hate and discord was not the following. She embraced anyone who felt oneself an Arendellian. And every Arendellian was different, but all shocked by first witnessing the living snowman, all amazed by the former queenâs icy magic, all knew the story of sisters. The people can always find a common ground and make an example form it. Because even the sisters were complete opposite of bridge, yet their love is unconditional.
Arendelle quickly become one of the busiest place in the globe.
And to cope with an increase in number, the satellite city were not an option. And we did it in the most brilliant way possible imaginable. Without altering landscapes, cities were built along mountains and fjords as if it was there long ago. The philosophy of Spirits met technology of the human. Without hurting but being an ecosystem, it had everything. Spirits magic is there without losing most connivence that tech provided. It was the first city, built on no one's land between Arendelle and Northaldra, governed by two nations under municipality. Only possible with help of newly formed alliance, as Anna convinced spirits and Northaldra of the plan to make it real, and it worked.
Not very soon, it was hard to distinguish people of the sun and Arenfjord. Alas, there was no proper border after mist have lifted. Just like the border of Enchanted Forest became obscure as the mixed heritage of her ripens and ripples by time.
And Annaâs final decision was what only she can do. By making herself from Her Majesty, the Queen and Savior of Arendelle, the other half of Fifth Spirit into simply, Anna; because the constitution clearly states that there can be no special title or class, now everyone have power.
However, constitution also states right to express freely, and the people kept calling her, Anna the Great.
