Jon is in the priesthood(Nightās Watch people go here) but is considered too wild and disobedient to be one of them yet, so heās sent out to look after Captian Giantsbaneās five(5) children and become their nanny.
When he gets there, he finds that Tormund is a very exacting parent, and quickly tries to show him how ridiculous the rules are by blowing his stupid whistle in his face. [I love that scene]
And despite the childrenās attempts at getting rid of him, he shows humour and kindness towards their childish pranks as he understands what itās like to not have a mother, and they all cry about how theyāve treated him. [love this scene too]
Ā And that night, during the thunderstorm, all the children end up in his room and he tries to calm them down and distract them from the storm, and right when theyāre in the midst of their joyful conversation, Tormund comes in, and tells the children off and sends them to bed.
Ā The next morning, Tormund leaves, and Jon takes the children on a trip to have some fun. He then spends the next month exploring with them and teaching them music.
When Tormund comes back with a suitor, Countess Brienne, he is embarrassed by his childrenās actions and tells them to go inside and tries to fire Jon. Once inside, they start playing/singing the song they learned for his return, and Tormund realises his mistake and apologises.
And with his return, there is a lot of pressure from the Nazis[Literally just put Tywin or Cersei or Dany here, whatever floats your boat] for him to support them, but refuses, despite others urging him to
Thereās a ball held, where Jon tries to teach the children to dance to folk music, and then Tormund comes along to show them how itās done, dancing with Jon, and they get lost in each other... Just staring into one anotherās eyes as they dance. Jon stops, having forgotten the rest of the moves, and all the kids are like āOoooOOOooh LOVEā, and head inside to say goodnight to everyone.
Ā Beforehand, one of the children pull Jon aside to tell them that they know, and they support it, but due to that, Jon packs his bags and leaves that night.
Skip to a few weeks ahead, where Jon has gone back to the priests and is sad and broody. They talk to him about it, figure out that heās in love, and tells him to go and be with them.
Ā On Jon return, Brienne realises just how much Tormund loves Jon, and decides to remove herself from the picture, as there was another suitor back home with golden hair...
Ā After saying goodbye to Brienne, and her pointing out whatās right under his nose, Tormund goes to Jon and they admit their feelings and they kiss and itās cute
And we will pretend that the story stops there as Iām tired.
