Labor of Love feelings
This was one of the most important itens on my wishing list: Killian Jones Identity. And as the episode opened in such affirmative mode of his true identity: Captain Killian Jones, with great joy I check this item on my list. To amplify the feeling that this half season is going to sort out so many ‘unfinished business’ not just related to the souls of the deceased but, manly, of our heroes, with great pleasure we saw Snow White back to where she has always belonged, another true identity problem fixed.
I’m enjoying the season 1 feeling of stand-alone episodes, sort of, enclosing self contained plots enveloped by a main plot, that keeps moving on in a steady pace.
Despite the suffering of Killian and the sadness of Emma because of it, it is reassuring to see both so determined and united, really connected and stronger than ever. There are also some good building ups with the Henry-Author plot, another item of my wishing list, and I hope to see more of Robin in action, using his skills as the good-thief, exploring with more deepness his background. I’d love to see Sean Maguire shining in a well deserved character development.
Hercules and Meg part was also great, I thing we are going to see more of them later, even if indirectly, because I don’t think that CGI image we got is the only time we will see the Olympus. I expect to see from the god’s team, at least, Zeus (and Poseidon, maybe), in a little familiar chat with brother Hades. Talking about brothers and sisters...
In summary, a great episode, despite of Hades (great acting) torturing Killian, of Rumple absence (what is he planning meanwhile?), of Cruella’s manipulative way towards Henry, my feelings from this episode are of hope...
