Splinter as Lou Jitsu Headcanon/Theory Pt. 2
Hello, everyone! First off Iād like to say that yourās truly just fulfilled her civic duty and voted. If any of you have time to do it then I highly suggest you do so. Now then, onto the main point of this post...
As the title says this is a part two for the theory/headcanon going around that Splinter is actually Lou Jitsu. First of all I want to bring up something about his name. We all know that the name āHamato Yoshiā is a constant mention throughout the TMNT franchise. So it made me think that perhaps Lou Jitsu isnāt Splinterās actual name but rather the name of his character in his old films. That said Splinterās former human name could be one of the following. A) Lou Hamato, and his grandfather is named Hamato Yoshi. Or... B) Hamato Yoshi, and Lou Jitsu is just the name of his character in the movies.
Or... C) Hamato Lou Yoshi, with Lou being his middle name and he prefers to be called as such. He was then inspired to name his film character Lou Jitsu. I got no real reason to mention this than to give you folks some food for thought. And maybe a little help for how to name Splinter/Lou in any future fanfics or comics you might create. So here ya go! Now onto the next thing...
Like I mentioned in part one, the turtles may actually be Splinterās/Louās biological sons and were mutated into different species of turtles by Baron Draxum along with their father. Meaning that the turtles could have started out as human. Well I know that this notion may be a bit hard to accept and I was actually back-peddling from it as well. That is, until I noticed something. A possible clue that may prove Splinterās/Louās relation to at least one certain turtle. Remember that scene in the opening for the episode āOrigami Tsunamiā where the family was watching a Lou Jitsu movie? And said martial arts film icon turned around to face the thugs challenging him? Well I took a screenshot of that scene because something about Louās face stood out to me. Here is the picture.
Look real close at his face. Specifically, his eyebrows. Got it? Now take a look at this screenshot I took towards the end of the episode āRepo Mantisā...
See?
SEE???
Their eyebrows match! Sure Donnieās brows are longer, but the way they arch and the general thickness are the same as Louās. So hereās a new idea; Splinter/Lou did have different species of turtles as pets, and he was a single father but of only one child. He had a red eared slider turtle, a box turtle and an alligator snapping turtle. His only child, a son named Donnie, loved each turtle dearly and named them Raph, Mikey and Leo. But Splinter/Lou would always tease him and call them Red, Orange and Blue instead of their actual names. Likewise he would call his son Purple as a nickname. And somehow Splinter/Lou crossed paths with Baron Draxum and likely tried to fight him off while he told Donnie to escape. But as he was gathering up their pet turtles the baronās little imps heard him and captured Donnie. This led to the martial arts film icon, his son and their three pet turtles being mutated. It is very likely that the experimentation and subsequent mutation caused Donnie to lose all memories of his life as a human. And the only human part of him left were his eyebrows. Not wanting to dredge all of that up and cause his biological son and newly mutated sons any pain, Splinter/Lou keeps their true origins a secret.
Well thatās that! I hope you all enjoyed this latest theory of mine. Now I will patiently wait and see just how many minds I have blown. Heh, heh, heh.
