#porto guide

Here is a mini guide of my personal musts in Porto, but obviously you should do much more. For sure, you should just walk around and get lost, as this is when magic happens.

There are a few things that you should eat in Porto - Francesinha about which I forgot (oops) and pork sandwich, about which I didn’t forget and had 4. The best place so far for the second was A Case Guedes. I am not kidding, you have to experience it (if you eat meat) and you won’t be able to think about anything else.

They also serve delicious soup, which Mia loved till she spotted something green swimming in it. And as you must know green is ’NO!’.

Sao Bento rail station - I do not mention obvious spots in Porto to visit, but some people think that it’s just a station and why to bother. Do bother as these walls are beautiful!

Casa da Musica - cool architecture outside and inside, definitely worth checking out.

Se do Porto - this is a feast for your eyes.

Base - it’s a hill where you can take a nice shot of buildings from a good level :D

Shops: Coração Alecrim, Mercado 48, Miss Pavlova- there are a few stores that I really liked in Porto, though I’ve been to only a few to look for ceramic.

Mercado do Bolhao - veggies, flowers, fish, meat, herbs presented in a beautiful building without a sealing. The stairs were so tempting to climb. Go there for the experience.

Cafe Progresso - very friendly and cozy place. Good for a coffee, or better, for a good breakfast. We were sitting next to a big table and enjoying the view. Once you sit there, it will be difficult to leave.

Zenith - Brunch & Coctails Bar - this is one trendy place. Whenever I got there, there was a long line. I'd suggest to go when they open or 10 minutes before. There will be a line already, but you'll have a good chance to get a table.

Combi coffee Co. - delicious coffee! If you like a good cup of coffee, this is your place!

Santini - delicious ice creams :) try one served on a mini not quite cheesecake. Delicious!

Miss Pavlova - they are crazy about Pavlova over there and when there’s passion, the effects must good :)

Noshi coffee - I loved the minimalist interior, very Scandinavian. My Acai bowl was delicious and Mia’s real hot chocolate was a dream.

Jardim do Morro - it’s a park on a hill, next to a bridge and this should be a must, as the view is spectacular. Porto covered in sun, food trucks on side, music…

Parto has beaches as well and there's a promenade with a beautiful view.
