porter 21/03/2013
sooo last night a decision was made to brave the rain and get pissing wet in order to sample the delights of the basement at porter.
on the bill (i.e. chalked onto back o loo doors) were titfield thunderbolt, gudjhor and wave n400.
excuse the poor photography skills, i was well involved with my second pint of beesting at this point.
outcome: it was well worth the wet socks. titfield thunderbolt consists of (okay i have a bias) my workmate rob, and sometimes some other guys. definitely some serious devendra banhart influence going on, what with all the nice guitar twiddles and funny, honest songs. also LOVE THE BANJOOOO: https://soundcloud.com/titfieldthunderbolt/jsuis-rob
nexxxxttt: gudjhor. lovely acoustic sound, chilled, perfect accoumpinant to my pint while huddled next to the radiator. porter turn your heating up pls. but yeah gudjhor have an ep out! take a listen: https://soundcloud.com/gudjohr
lastly: wave n400. by this time the beesting had taken away my sense and perception of time, all i really remember is thinking how much they reminded me of the stone roses. a lot. like in don't stop? all reverbs and loops and stuff. but on re listen... maybe not. but nice. also ep out: https://soundcloud.com/wave-n400
all in all, impressed. keep that music coming, anyone with any recommendations, i'll listen to anything once.
much love
