Do you know who climb down the portcullis?
I think it varies. But from cast sheets I've seen the male ballet dancers are usually assigned the task . They also appear as Phantom doubles, stagehands or whatever fairly physical features the casting needs. I've also seen u/s Raouls being listed, and Reyers. Or to put it bluntly, the lighter and/or more athletic of the male cast members. And of course whoever plays Meg! She is the only to enter stage.
They are often also featured as the mob on the bridge in the previous scene, as seen in this amazing shot from Hamburg:
Here's Daisy Hulbert (Meg in West End) with "her" climbers. I'm not able to identify them. Anyone?
