If you’re in the market for a game changer but is a little bit short on cash, you might want to check out the Vivostick PC. It’s not by any means designed for gaming but it does get the job done for pretty much everything else. Here’s my quick review of the Vivostick PC!
Before anything else, let’s first check out what comes in the retail package:

Now, that’s out of the way, let’s first talk about my initial impressions. Honestly speaking, I was a bit shocked to see what this looked like in person. I already knew from the start of its form factor, but I wasn’t expecting it would look and feel like a typical white-board marker. It’s practically as tall as a standard Pentel pen and weighs way lighter than the average smartphone.
Here’s a quick run-through of its specifications and what comes with the Vivostick PC device.
Okay, so that’s not exactly the full spec-sheet, but I figured as a general consumer, most of the technicalities wouldn’t exactly matter, but these will.
In any case, the Vivostick PC delivers to do exactly what it’s intended for, it pretty much is a portable computer that you can bring anywhere you go. Although don’t get your hopes up just yet, the Vivostick PC may act like a standard Windows computer, but it does falter in most cases, especially with gaming.
This small piece of tech wasn’t exactly designed for gaming, so you’ll be left with running emulators or 90’s era games, I wasn’t able to test if it can handle modern games of today, but with its internal specifications, I’d rather not go through the hassles.
Here’s a quick slide-show of the device itself:

So how does one exactly operate the Vivostick PC? Simple, if you happen to have a monitor or a TV that supports HDMI, simply plug it in. The Vivostick PC has 2 USB ports which is where you plug in the keyboard and the mouse. Although, a word of caution though, if the HDMI port of your TV/ monitor is too high, you might want to get an extension cord that’s relatively long since the Vivostick needs to be plugged into a poweroutlet.
This, however, is just through its initial phase, once you’ve fully set up the device you can then easily switch to your Bluetooth capable mouse and keyboard.
The Vivostick PC in many ways is worth the price. It’s portable, it’s handy, it gives you a full-powered Windows 10 experience without costing more than 10-20 thousand pesos and can easily fit your pocket while on the go. Though it does have its flaws, this is a small price to pay if you’re looking for a fully operational computer.
The Vivostick PC currently retails for 7,999 in any ASUS Concept store nationwide. For more information and where to get the Vivostick PC simply click the following links listed below:
