I've been lacking in creativity this year, and what to change this in 2013 - So, I've researched some photography project I want to explore, and you should join in.Â
On-going documentary.
Going to an event, which happens regularly in your local area, and documenting it. For example: 5-a-side football tournaments. This sounds like an interesting concept, where you can meet new people. However, the only thing I could think of that happens regularly, is a football match - which I'm not a fan of.. Plus, the area I live, if I started taking pictures of teens playing 5-a-side football - I would get mugged, and then killed. NEXT.Â
From The Hip.
Basic principle of taking photography from different angels - from the hip. I like this idea, and have previously tried it, using my Diana Mini - but most of the shots came out crappy. BUT, I shall try this again. WIN.
City Swap.
Going to a different city - taking photos. I also like this idea. One of my New Year aims is to travel more, so I was planning on taking day trips to Bath, Cardiff, Portsmouth, so-on and so-forth. So this shall be fun to try. WIN.
365.
Taking a photograph of the day, to capsulize what you've done, achieved, or just something from the day. I tried to this last year (or the year before), and failed, but I knew I would fail, because I was so busy - thus it became an inconvenience, and not something to enjoy. However, I would like to do this again - I feel like it would be beneficial, and I'm in the right frame of mind. So get ready for 365:2013. WIN.
Improve Your Technique, & Camera Experimentation.
The idea of taking a photograph every month, to improve your technique, and experimenting with the different functions on your camera. This seems like an interesting concept - I want to learn how to use my camera more freely, and not always rely on the 'auto' function. However, my DSLR is out of service at the moment, and my point and shoot is a bit limited. BUT, I like the idea, so I shall try and do this - more for fun, rather then producing outcomes. WIN
Pick A Colour A Month.
Choosing a colour, and shooting images containing this colour. Interesting idea. I think I've seen this in an advertisement on TV before? I like this. Maybe I'll explore this more later in the year, but something to keep in mind. Â
There are many more photography project you may enjoy - I suggest you do your own research. Here's to 2013 for being a creative year! Ax
