the gardenview educational center and museum,a for-profit children's establishment with the ever-omnipresent need to generate as much money as possible (it was founded on a loan,) needed to find any way it could to develop interesting characters that would draw in new visitors on a regular basis.... what better way to do that that with seasonal toons, right?

DISREGARDING THE WHOLE IDEA THAT MAKING CHILDRENS CHARACTER REALIS A FUNDAMENTALLY FLAWED CONCEPT DUE TO THE EXAGGERATED TRAITS A CARTOON CHARACTER NEEDS TO BE "FUNNY" OR ONE NOTE AND FORCING THEM INTO THAT ROLE BEING INHERENTLY DANGEROUS TO THEIR MENTAL HEALTH. like sure ok. let's make some new guys. cant be that bad ok....

like they had good intentions. arthur more so than delilah maybe, since he actually asks about the well-being of the christmas toons (most likely the first ones made) when he notices them retreating after christmas, but at the end of the day these guys are all MONEY MAKERS

YOU are constantly worried about losing your job (and therefore a key aspect of your identity) to one of your best friends and you ARENT EVEN TOLD HOW YOU COULD PROBABLY TRY AND FIX THAT

AND WHEN TOURE ALL OVER THAT... when you are done thinking about all the things you could worry about... it's all over. you aren't needed anymore. time to go back to your designated floor and stay there for the rest of the year
