Me and Silk from Freakstyle went to Utrecht today to photograph our three Poppedijns! They are genderless dolls of 28 cm tall, designed by Silk and me, hand cast by Silk and their outfits are made by me. Now it's time to sort out all the pictures, but here's a little preview for you ;)

Sharing a couple of pictures of the very first Poppedijn cast! It’s actually a junk cast, so she’s a couple of different colours, and the headcap doesn’t have magnets so is tacked on with putty, and it’s a little rough but..it’s Poppedijn! It’s amazing that I can now actually hold her in my hands, and share her with you guys! :D I’m leaving tonight to go to Portugal to an Artist Residency for a week, and I’m going to work on Poppedijns first outfit while I’m there, while Silk is working on a final cast. So, busy busy, but omg, so excited! I hope you like her <3 The idea behind Poppedijn is that she/he is an androgynous creature, and every one is going to be an artist cast and have an elaborate, hand embroidered outfit and just be this unique little piece of art, that’s how we envision her <3 Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to start on some embroidery! ;)
Expect many pictures of her in Portugal and of the embroidery as it’s coming along! :D There won’t be any new corsets this week, but my mom((<3)is taking care of shipping out orders while I’m there, so the shop will still be open and of course I’ll be answering convo’s as normal ^_^ So, there will be new corsets again next week, and commissions will open again as well next week :D Until then, it’s Poppedijn time <3
