havent even watched animal kingdom i just know i need big scary lookin streetdog pope who has never known comfort to fall fast and hard for sunshine incarnate puppy whitaker. pope stays at home during the day basically just waiting for his precious denny to get home and when he does that man is a lapdog lounging on and rubbing himself all over his tiny 5'8 boyfriend. maybe dennis is all squirmy and hes like i havent even showered yet but hes trapped under pope but pope will not let go and shoves his face in his armpit while ticking him.

Chapter 1 (sneak peak)

The interrogation room felt smaller the longer Mackenzie Cody sat in it.

Plain gray walls. A metal table bolted to the floor. A single camera tucked into the corner with its little red light blinking. They'd left her alone for almost twenty minutes, hoping the silence would make her nervous.

It didn't.

The door opened, and two detectives stepped inside carrying a thick case file. One of them dropped it onto the table, photographs spilling across the metal surface. Burned vehicles. Prison surveillance stills. Officers running through clouds of smoke. A body covered by a white sheet.

Andrew "Pope" Cody.

The older detective took a seat across from her. "Your father is dead. We both know that. What we don't know is how he managed to escape a maximum-security prison in the first place."

Kenzie didn't look at the photographs. She kept her eyes on the detective instead.

"So that's why I'm here?" she asked flatly. "To explain how a bunch of trained corrections officers lost one inmate?"

The younger detective sighed. "We're investigating everyone connected to the escape. Family. Associates. Anyone who could've helped plan it."

Kenzie folded her arms across her chest, her expression unreadable.

"Well I dont know shit" she said. "And if you think I'm going to help you clean up your mistakes, you're wasting your time."

The detectives exchanged a glance.

This wasn't going to be an easy interview.

And Mackenzie Cody had no intention of making it one.

The older detective closed the case file with a quiet thud.

"Alright," he said, leaning back in his chair. "Let's try something different."

Kenzie raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

"You've been answering our questions with questions. Fair enough." He folded his hands on the table. "So forget the prison break for a minute."

The younger detective picked up the conversation.

"Tell us about yourself."

She frowned.

"Myself?"

"You. Your childhood. What it was like growing up a Cody. What it was like growing up with Andrew Cody as your father."

For the first time since they'd entered the room, Kenzie looked genuinely caught off guard.

She let out a slow breath, rubbing a hand over her face before shaking her head.

A smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth.

"Well... fuck."

She looked between the two detectives and gave a quiet laugh.

"Where do I start?"
