Crispy popcorn shrimp are the perfect fun and easy appetizer! These bite-sized delights are crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 pound medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 eggs, beaten. 1 cup breadcrumbs. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. Oil for frying.
Instructions: Put flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix them together. First, coat each shrimp evenly in the seasoned flour. Next, dip them in the beaten eggs. Finally, coat them evenly in the breadcrumbs. In a deep fryer or a large skillet, heat the oil to 350F 175C. Fry the shrimp in batches for two to three minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Take the shrimp out of the oil and pat them dry on paper towels to get rid of the extra oil. Serve hot with the sauce of your choice.
