new album has weirdly mixed, quiet vocals and sounds waaaay more compressed/distorted than needed. The lyrics and riffs aren't bad, but goodness a new mix is needed. :/

#Mixing Techniques: Poor Mixing
A poor mix is usually made before any mixing is actually even begun. Before you mix be confident that you have properly recorded your instruments, used proper samples, and programmed fitting timbres. If not go back and rerecord your instruments, choose better samples, or reprogram your sounds. Never use the excuse that you can fix it by mixing.
