Lou: *smacks himself with a hammer*

He knows what he’s doing is wrong, but he’s the best liar he knows. So he’ll keep lying to himself if just to enjoy this longer without guilt..

Apparently, Marissa feels like it's time to finally put some distance between her and Dani... Which means she needs a place to live for a while...

Well, Lou couldn't say no to that! They are good friends after all. Without Dani staying over this time there shouldn't be any arguing.

TK carefully uses the kitchen scissors to poke holes in the lid of the plastic to-go container that the lizard has been using since TK picked him up from pathology. The taqueria was kind enough to give him an extra container while they waited for Lou, a name that seemed fitting when they were halfway to the hospital. He hopes the container is comfortable for Lou. Life in a bag while covered in blood couldn’t be comfortable for anything.

“There you go buddy,” TK tells the lizard, who has been traumatized enough for the day.

Nancy snorts next to him and TK rolls his eyes. She’s been making comments about his affection for Lou since he suggested that Lou ride up front with him rather than in the back with his would-be murderer. TK still doesn’t think it’s unreasonable. She doesn’t say anything right now though.

“TK, what are you doing?” Marjan asks, leaning against the counter and picking up bits of vegetables off of the cutting board where Paul is preparing things for dinner and tossing them into her mouth.

TK holds up the container with Lou in it so Marj can see. “Just making him comfortable.”

Marjan’s eyebrows shoot up to her tight work hijab. “Him?”

Paul glances up from the cutting board and peers at the container before gasping. “Oh my God. No. Nope!” He points his knife at them both. “Get that thing right out of this kitchen, TK. I’m cooking!” 

TK frowns at Paul before looking down at Lou. Does it really count as “in the kitchen” if Lou is hanging out in the container in TK’s hands? TK doesn’t think so. “He’s in his little container. He’s fine.”

Paul shakes his head, frowning. He waves his knife at TK as he says, “Those things are crawling with disease. Do you want the whole house to come down with salmonella?”

“Ah, he’s not contagious,” TK says, waving Paul off. “Pathology had to check him out for diseases after we pulled him out of the wilderness Instagramer’s leg. He’s clean. Aren’t you?” TK asks Lou.

Paul blinks at him. “I’m sorry, what?”
