Last she checked, her fever spiked 106, only a few degrees warmer than her usual 102. And it’s near impossible to cool down something that breathes fire and generates enough heat to have a constant human fever. She wolfs down another handful of advil, as if over the counter does anything for her metabolism. “Besides I-I have to work, you know they cut back my benefits and my savings is all going towards rent.”
