Sketchbook stuff
I have recently started carrying a small blank book with me at all times. I bought a few from PooPooPaper company (The paper is actually made from elephant poop, and it is GREAT for drawing with illustration pens). I haven’t been satisfied with anything that I have done recently, but I have found some enjoyment in doing small quick sketches in my blank books.
Here is a round castle that I did a couple of weeks ago.
Une fabrique de papier à base de 💩 d’éléphant, une ferme de papillon 🦋 et des orchidées #PooPooPaper (à Elephant Poopoopaper Park)

That time I played with poop in Thailand at Elephant PooPooPaper Park
That time I played with poop in Thailand at Elephant PooPooPaper Park
There are times when I ask myself: why do I do some of the things that I do? Why is it that I found myself in one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in the world, and I decided that I wanted to go to a tourist attraction that lets me play with elephant poop. Yes, you read that right, elephant poop.
We (my sister and I) were cruising around Chiang Mai, Thailand with our driver John, and he asked if we wanted to go to PooPooPaper Park. We asked him what it was, and he responded, “It’s where you go play with poop, lots of big elephant poop.” So, of course, curiosity got the best of us and we decided to make a quick stop off at Elephant PooPooPaper Park.
There is a fee to get into the park, but it only cost 100 Baht, which is about $2.85. Once you’ve paid the 100 Baht fee, you get a paper sticker of an elephant to put on your shirt so the employees know that you have paid the entrance fee. FYI, the elephant sticker is made of 100% elephant poop.
You can walk around the park by yourself if you wish, but it is best to do the short 35 minute tour that they offer. During the tour, you learn all about poop; and more specifically elephant poop, and all of the things that they use it for.
The PooPooPaper Tour is very well run, and you get to touch and play with as much elephant poop as your heart desires. You get to sniff the poop, rub the poop, boil the poop, flatten the poop, sift the poop, dye the poop, and dry the poop. All of this might seem over the top, but throughout the tour, they teach you how they use elephant poop to make paper and a bunch of other products that require strong elephant poop fibers. You get to do all of the different hands on steps, and it is a very educational but fun experience.
The facilities are very well maintained and while there are big piles of elephant poop all throughout the PooPooPaper Park, but you don’t have to worry about stepping in it because the piles of poop are so large . If you do happen to step in a pile of the elephant poop, it is most likely your own fault, because your head was probably buried in your phone trying to get that Instagram shot.
At the end of the tour there is a café, where you can grab a sandwich, coffee, and even an elephant poop cookie. Don’t worry, the cookie doesn’t have any real poop in it. After the café, you can hit up the gift shop where you can buy all sorts of stuff that is made out elephant poop. Who doesn’t love a note pad that is made from genuine elephant poop?
You don’t need to plan more than 1-2 hours at the Elephant PooPooPaper Park. If you get there as a tour is starting, you will probably be ready to be on your way in about an hour.
PooPooPaper Park is an attraction that I would recommended if you are looking for something to do that is going to be stress-free, educational, amusing, fun, and at the same time not take a large chunk of time out of your day. This could also be an attractive place to go because the entire park has a pretty solid FREE Wi-Fi connection. All in all, we left with some great pictures, and we even picked up a few elephant poop souvenirs to bring back to the United States with us.
