this is quite the lore drop to receive in the same moon that my most senior medicine cat is killed by an octopus in the shallows

The only males among the founders were an elder (Frostcurrent) and a kit (Ganderkit). We've been struggling with pairing of mates capable of breeding since and still haven't reached a gender balance

Ganderkit tries to become a medicine cat apprentice. Desperate to have a viable population, i switch him to the warrior track. Not that that has stopped our other medicine cats (foreshadowing). He later develops the "ghost sense" trait, so maybe that was connected

Poolrush the medicine cat was the first to become pregnant. Understandably, she is cagey about the father. I have since toggled off kits for her

Some time after becoming a warrior, a paired that first male kit (Ganderplume) with another founding kit (Pearflower). In the same moon, they both break up and announce a pregnancy

Sandystar comes out as a trans tom

Erminepelt dies under mysterious circumstances, and the deputy Jaggedlake is definitely responsible

The recently graduated medicine cat apprentice Lizardsplash is now pregnant as well

Both times a medicine cat fell pregnant, they only had one kit. Also not really drama but vaguely amusing

The medicine cats take on Daisypaw as another apprentice. She had prevent kits toggled on

Jaggedlake confesses their murder to Cottontuft. They step down as deputy (on my orders) to be replaced by Pearflower

Sandystar has been washed out to sea, never to be seen again, nullifying the utility of any extra lives

Pearstar becomes the clan leader with fewer than 5 moons as deputy under her belt while in the medicine cat den with a mangled leg (as she spent most of her time as deputy). She feels unprepared, and frankly i don't disagree

Pearstar tries to appoint the murderer and former deputy as her deputy

I slap her hand away from the console and appoint Skyjoy instead. This is because i believe her to be the most competent for the role, but also she mentored both Erminepelt and, after the untimely death of her own original mentor, Pearstar
