Mako was sure that her daughter was cared for at the commune on Shili, but no one would have taken on quite so parental a role as the droid had fallen into. Just listening as she chatted about her day, preparing her favorite snack after school, sitting with her as she fell asleep... And all without any actual suggestion by her. She didn’t call him out on it, poke fun at him for going soft, or... whatever half-joking barb she might typically throw his way. No risking whatever strange routine had come into play, in this case.

honestly, when I see my normal doc next I’m gonna ask if she can put me on something. She put Jamie on anxiety meds (and it’s been pretty successful)
