2. they’ve broken out of WICKED, and stopped for awhile at a restaurant. he’s angry with her. no, that’s not it. he’s not mad. he’s distant. he’s lost his trust, it seems. it sucks, but she can’t help it. what was she suppose to do ? tell him everything right from the start ? blow her cover ? get them both killed ? but although the points she’s making are very valid, she can’t help but feel a bit heartbroken. she knows it now. she loves thomas, probably more than she should ( especially with the teresa thing. ) even when he’s upset with her, she loves him very dearly. the love is trying to claw out of her an wrap around, but she holds it back. she can’t. she may love him, but he doesn’t love her.

3. it’s all over. half of everyone is dead. the other half are getting patched up in the corner, or limping around & helping others. she spots thomas, out by the cliff on his own, and follows him. she sits and talks to him, until there’s the silence. until he takes her hand, & she can feel the flood of him through her veins. ❛ there are over two hundred of us and we’re all immune. it’ll be a good start. ❜ what’s that suppose to mean ? his obliviousness just makes her smile as she leans in to kiss his cheek, and then his mouth. she knows it will be rocky, and that he may not love her as she loves him. but god does she love him. & she just smiles at him, hoping to convey this in her eyes.  ❛ nothing. nothing at all. ❜

4. it’s been a few years now, things have gotten settled in this new paradise. it’s getting cold, for some reason, and it’s a new feeling for everyone. the cold hasn’t existed in forever. brenda has declared this to be a holiday from her memories. christmas. she’s explained the whole thing to people, and preparations for the holiday are on their way. brenda is hunched over a clipboard, working furiously on the light arrangements. this was her favorite holiday when she was younger, & she isn’t going to butcher it. suddenly, there is an arm around her waist and a hand over her eyes. she immediately knows who it is. there’s complaining and threatening as she’s dragged away from her holiday planning, and it doesn’t stop until the hand is lifted from her eyes. they’ve walked a while away, to a small clearing in some woods. there’s a blanket laid out, and a small dinner. brenda can’t help but gape at the boy who’s standing to her side, looking mildly pleased with himself. & she knows, right then, that she couldn’t ever love anyone more than she loved him.
