Rory the Roman. I love all the companions and Rose came close but Rory is my favorite because he doesn't idolize the Doctor, he sees him for who is really is yet still chooses to travel with him. I believe Rory to in many ways be wiser than the Doctor, he's even older than the Doctor. Rory also puts up with a lot of things that would drive many people insane, always in someones shadow but knowing when to step forward he's a leader and a strong male lead in the show who fights for what he knows is right and the woman he loves. I think there need to be more male companions like Rory.
