I put the red egg in a little man-made tide pool to imitate its environment, I hope it will encourage the lil one to hatch!
Among the familiar rocks, the egg begins to shift back and forth. The pebbles shift and turn to make room for it as it slides to its side, where it then rocks from there for a moment.
There's shuffling from within, slow but insistent and careful, before the plates on the back of it split open, and the hatchling pushes through with a small, high pitched grunt, before tumbling to the ground in a clumsy pile.
The hatchling snuffles wetly for a moment, blinking in the fresh air around it, then looks up to see you. It lets out a small bleating noise, trying to drag itself forward.
The hatchling has imprinted on you.

What a silly little guy! A bit clumsy looking now, but I'm sure as he gets older he'll turn into something quite sleek! Congratulations on your new baby!
