Fun fact- but bioengineering organisms was actually one of the main things POM and ESH bonded over when they were first starting to communicate <:)

The two of em were working on smth for ESH's situation (which I'll eventually get to on the blog once I get a good ask for it :]c) but that's currently on pause because of POM's whole thing with the rot

Another PoM related post, I’m sorry. I’ll put it under the cut so it won’t bother anyone who doesn’t want to read this (plus it got really long somehow)

I’m writing a fanfic where a girl penguin is transferred to the zoo (completely unoriginal, I know. But I want to write a RicoxOC story where Rico isn’t basically dating a female copycat of himself like all the stories I’ve read. Which I can’t say much cause I had 2 groups of copycat girls too... >_< ) I’m having trouble where the boys and girl meet. According to Skipper’s page on the Madagascar wiki: “He's a 50's style male chauvinist, believing women are weak and need protecting. “ So how would he react is my question. All of the stories I’ve read where new girl penguins are transferred, Skipper is immediately suspicious of them. Even I wrote him that way a couple of times while writing this story (and in all my other stupid PoM fanfics from when I was 14) but if you think about it...Would Skipper really see girls as a threat? For a while he treated Marlene as if she couldn’t do much, but he eventually realized she was pretty tough. AND when Skipper thought he was a girl, he thought he couldn’t lead his team anymore. He thought he was supposed to sew curtains, do makeovers, and fix lemonade for the boys after they saved the day. (which they didn’t, cause they wound up needing to be saved by Skipper anyway lol) Skipper also reacted positively to Kitka and “Arlene”. Until Kitka hacked up Fred the squirrel (alive), which Skipper then said “I think we should see other people”. And with “Arlene”, he began to be suspicious of her when Marlene was nowhere to be found (not knowing Arlene WAS Marlene)

So I’m just wondering what would be better to write...Skipper being suspicious? Or have him not be suspicious? Also, to those who have read this far (thanks btw, have a cookie!), I’ll have you know that despite me trying to make my old PoM OC be better by changing her name and personality, the old 14-year-old PoM fan inside of me does NOT like the fact that I changed the name from “Vee” to “Gwen” I find myself wanting to type “Vee” instead of “Gwen” and it’s kind of annoying lol

This is a little thing but they'd both send eachother messengers with pearls a lot for fun as a little game and to surprise eachother with what the other would make after the ancients left but before POM got rot.

They both have their own mini colonies of genetically modified slugs as a result- and they'd gossip abt what they were doing a lot to pass the time <:)
