Oliver and Nicky have a nice rivals-but-not-really dynamic going on. Phil safely checks off the childhood best friend box, which I think makes him the popular choice.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that there wasn't much alluding to Oliver fancying Esther or Myrtle, given how common it is to force something between the lead boy and girl in media. That being said, there are some genuinely interesting dynamics there, and I could see potential for ships.

Denny is really the only other character in Oliver's appropriate age range, but they don't interact much, so that seems eh.

When it comes to the adults, despite making up most of the characters, there really isn't much there. Mostly because they don't interact all too much.

Beyond Khulan and Kublai, and Ali and Yasmina, I don't think there's much in Canon either. I’ve seen Marcassin and Micah, and Horace and The Wizard King, which is nice. I think there's a lot of potential for Leila and Allie too. There's probably more I'm missing.
