The fog was thick in the air, engulfing the pig as she held the boy from behind. Her arm squeezed mercilessly around him, and her blade caressed against his throat. The sharpness of the blade was present enough to leave a light pink against his skin, but not harsh enough to cut. At least... Not yet.

Amanda enjoyed teasing her pray here. Hurting, and toying with them till they could no longer take it and eventually begged for her to kill them. In her past life, this wasn't anything she would have even thought of doing... But here.

This is what she was meant to do. This is what gave her life.

"am i? then i shudder to think of how you might treat the ones you don't like." cordelia replied without looking up from the plants she was repotting, lips pursed. she hated it when her mother visited in general, always a bit more tightly wound when fiona made one of her grand appearances, but that comment especially seemed to rub cordelia the wrong way. her favorite? cordelia wouldn't have treated the worst behaved student she'd had the way that fiona treated her, or even a stranger on the street, and she couldn't stand being spoken to like they had some sort of positive relationship together.

First meetings

Eyes scanned the figure before her, from his head of blue hair to the way he stood, and Violet wondered if she had always been this resilient or if life had made it so. Because she wasn't afraid of him, not even a little bit. Wary, sure. He was a guy, older and with terrible fashion sense. What girl wouldn't be a little cautious?

"I'm not scared of you."

First meetings

Violet's hand immediately flew up to her chin, pulling away to reveal streaks of red smeared across her fingers. Her face ached from the fight, but she had assumed bruises not wounds, not from that stupid bitch at school. She wasn't tough enough to draw blood.

Except she apparently was, as Violet's swollen lip proved otherwise. It couldn't have been a pretty sight.

"Shit."

Taking a long drag of her cigarette, Violet waited a few moments before exhaling, her breathing a little shaky as she did so. Whatever Winter had anticipated being said, it definitely hadn't been the news of Violet's own suicide. After all, the girl was stood before her, seeming very much alive.

At the thought of her own demise, Violet had to struggle to keep the lump from forming in her throat, tears threatening to spill. She was dead, a ghost. Doomed to roam the halls of her house for a fucking long time.

Legs dangling as she sat atop the counter, Violet continued to scroll through her cell, counting down the minutes until she could get the hell out of this dump. When she'd applied for a job at an ice cream place, she never dreamed that it'd be here, right in the middle of the mall. Or that she'd have to wear this god awful costume.

"Do you see any customers?"

It had been quiet for the past hour, the after-dinner rush dying down as they settled into the evening. Since starting, Violet had only shared basic conversations with Steve, yet she felt comfortable enough being her sarcastic self around him.

"Who do you want me to scoop ice cream for? This place is completely void."
