While browsing I came across an interesting article from Polygon (linked below). It's been a wild ride since I joined the fanfic community, first on numerous specific ship forums, then to Fanfiction.net, and then moving onto AO3. I've seen some changes over the years myself. It's interesting, but not surprising, to learn that there are those out there who track fanfic trends. Think I'll check those out.
