I decided to remake the #castleinthesky pendant I shared a little bit ago. I wanted to see how it would turn out with the experience I’ve gotten since I made the original. I think it turned out really well. It took me forever to get a color I liked. Once I did, I finished pretty quickly. Since I already knew what I wanted to do. The clay is #premo in this one. Colored, mostly, with #alcoholink . I wanted to see if I could keep some of the translucency of the clay. I did use a little #pearlex pigment to help get the color the way I liked. I couldn’t get as dark a color as I wanted, at first. After a number of failed experiments, I started searching for info on color theory. The secret turned out to be adding purple. I added some #glowinthedark powder to try and reproduce the way the stone glows, in the movie, when it’s powers are used. I used the powder from #polyclayplay , because it has a grainier look after its mixed. The particles may be larger than the LIT and don’t mix as easily. #necrosculpt #polymerclay #jacquardproducts #jewelry #studioghibli https://www.instagram.com/p/By66cMcAQk_/?igshid=1pqqf1giw9a5t
