Or, at least, they could snap them in half in a proper fight and Pokemon clash. Everyone in this region is real quick to just shoot people if things get ugly, which he respects being the door to door mormon of matchlocks in Ransei, but seeing what a modern gun can do and how instantly it ends everything kind of lowkey terrifies him. It’s what the Saika was after, but they had it controlled.

Considering the various states of disability, Shige doesn’t take part in any physical fighting, and he isn’t properly trained with any of his Pokemon to participate, but he isn’t exactly opposed to the idea should they ever like ‘git gud’ as the youngsters say in this region. The techniques he could work out with his Pokemon with his Ransei Samurai training background would be a fucking spectacle.
