I keep a roll of polo's wherever I go. Just the ordinary origional mint ones. I find them soothing. Whenever I was down, not feeling great, or just moping around the nurses office (she was awesome don't judge!) she'd hand me a polo, I'm not saying it cured the depression or the lonliness, or made whatever I wasn't looking forward to go away, but it gave me a couple of minutes to breathe and suck the mint and shift my focus on to something else. It works now too, If something's too much, or I just need to relax and take a deep breath I thumb off a polo, and take a moment. It's not really about the polo's it could work with anything but it's one of the most useful relaxation techniques I have so thanks to Marigold who gave me a Polo and started a lifelong habit.
