When I first met Helena it was for a British Vogue shooting in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg Russia. I had only seen her in pictures and was knocked out by her. On our first day of shooting in front of the Hermitage with a crowd around us she started up with me by giving me shit like “you think your all that!” I was like Wha?” I quickly realized that was just Helena and she still gives me shit when I see her today. That was her way of saying “I like you” ( I think?), hahaha... when my book came out we had a few parties and Helena was cool enough to host one for me. She’s also become a really good photographer, don’t know if she knows this but I plug her work to people whenever I can. She says she learned from the best, hope I’m one of them.
