This was filmed at Penguin’s Comedy Club in Cedar Rapids.
Sadly, a mix of COVID and lies put Penguin’s out of business.
Yes, COVID shut things down for several months, but it turned out the owners were just looking for an excuse to shut things down permanently.
They kept stringing the booker (who was also the founder) along, telling him they were going to re-open, but they had no intention of keeping their word.
It’s very sad.
Penguin’s Comedy Club thrived for over 20 years in Iowa.
It made it through two floods, and could have bounced back after the pandemic…
If not for greedy, uninterested-in-comedy liars.
Anyway, it’s funny how things change.
African-American has become “Black,” again.
What’s old is new again.
There was also a lame, ill-attempt to go from “Hispanic-American” to “LatinX,” which was just stupid.
I think it’s either “Hispanic,” or “Latino,” now.
But, with the upcoming release of the Daily Wire’s awful-looking and possibly racist “Run Hide Fight: Infidels,” “Terrorist-American” might be making a comeback!
