I just watched Northern Soul. You were right, in the canon of James Lance, it was a significant improvement on Me, Myself, and Di! (Not that it would be difficult to improve on that...)
Fun fact: Whilst watching, I remembered that when I lived up north for a bit, my flat was near a fish n chip shop called Northern Sole. Which is very silly, but amused me to no end. 😁
