for anyone wanting to make evil mode music, Ive found some of the patches corruworks used for em: - The bass in BSTRD is the 'Bass Da Rave' patch from arturia pigments - The bstrdbells are the 'Digital Bells' from the korg triton - The lead in BSTRD is 'Lo-fi Lead' from the korg triton (with some vectomelt put on top i think, idk if its any vectomelt preset tho) - The harps in all the bstrd songs are i thiiiink 'Harp Phrase Set' also from the korg triton. There are like 3 that sound similar but i think its that one, theyd all prolly work. - And allllll the bstrd gun sound effects are just the 'Sonic Boom' sound effects patch from the korg triton While trying to make corru type music ive found all the bstrd instruments very easy to find compared to literally every other sound in the entire game. It feels very fitting with bstrd and his songs being external code someone made that his instruments would be the only ones you can just find on a VST as theyre. All the other music in the game is just akizet thoughts but evil mode has actual music that was installed with it. That probably isnt intentional on corruworks part, but its a nice meta element i guess.

What is GAD really? Like REALLY, in real life? (I know the answer)
Ok so in corru observer on the mindspikes menu, as well as on the corru works website, theres this little GAD gauge that measures coherence. In universe it's contextualized as global coherence fluctuations which can change visuals and open pathways in game (with the hunger mask giving low GAD so you dont gotta wait for fluctuations to open pathways)
But like, what. Why is it there? Corruworks has only acknowledged the GAD once in the cohost i think and its a real in universe type answer. Doesn't give much in the way of answers. So what is it?
Ive been replaying corru observer again and last night i had a dream as akizet. Like, nearly exactly how experiencing a memory is described in the game. I could see through her eyes and feel her thoughts as though they were my own while also easily distinguishing that they were NOT my own. It was very weird to experience.
It was like, some pre collapse memory where she went to an earth theater or something. She ran into miltza (or, the miltza signature) and was i guess looking for her. A dialogue option came up and i like, mentally selected an option that just said 'who are you'. Akizet asked if miltza was miltza by her full name (never said in game) which was something like Miltzavulen Qou Vazni. I dont quite remember what it actually was in my mind though. I also dont know if miltza is vaznian lol
Miltza confirmed it was her and akizet was just like oh cool nice to meet you i just wanted to make sure we were all here then they went into the theater thing
Then the "memory" skipped ahead and it was akizet and isabel at some craft fair or farmers market. Something with stalls of people selling stuff. Akizet got given some small 3D printed unsanded house thing and was enamored by it. Just like, poking it and turning it over in her hand.
Isabel was like "why do you like that thing so much" and akizet was like "it is insane how you can automate a task like this without echos, on obeski this would have to be made by a golem or a person." At this point akizets prodding had made a small hole in the wall of the house. She was like "it is so sturdy, yet it falls apart so easily. We do not have any material like this back home. It is fascinating"
Then (because this is still a dream i was having) i went back to being me instead of akizet and the dream stopped being corru related in the slightest. I went to some chinese grocery store or something it doesnt matter. But it was a really weird experience.
Im kinda jealous of obesk, they get to live for so long in a society that values everyones ambitions for the common good.
Like akizet gets to be a combat veteran, a respected and known scientist, AND an important xenopolitical figure??? In one lifetime???? Like she just got to stop fighting and learn to become a scientist?
I'm well aware isabel says this exact shit in game and akizet thinks that being a human on earth would be the real paradise but a lot of stuff that akizet states in absolute confidence turns out to be wrong so at a certain point her pov feels fallible
