last night i had a dream where a lot happened, but the part that matters is at the end.
i sorta sneaked around and followed behind tenna saying he only hired mike (battat) because he needed someone to set up the boards and that he was "glooby". And that he didnt actually need mike.
Then tenna like, absorbed battat and turned him into a golden egg and i was like holy shit what. And tenna turned around and was like "AND YOU! YOUVE BEEN FOLLOWING THIS WHOLE TIME!"
then he turned into the tenna sphynx thing from the board minigame and inhaled me like kirby, and i went to this black void where he told me that he would only take half of my essence to turn into an egg. I recreated this part:
so then i got revived in the room and tenna was gone. And there was a youtube video playing that explained that i was now a body without a soul and that i lacked most of my essence. Stuck with only body and mind but no soul (sucks). The dream ended with me being told that i had to get my soul back from tenna or i would die, and in the meantime i would be deficient in like everything and would also get a 7% increase in estrogen specifically.

I replayed chapter one of deltarune in a call with some friends today and i realized that alphys sent them in to get the chalk SO THAT she could write the group project assignment.
And Kris and Susie never came back for the rest of the day to see what it was. Nor do we see them ask someone else about it at any point. Kris and susie literally dont even KNOW what the group project is, their grade in the class is so fucked dude
I kinda headcannon the MC from ddlc as transfem just because i kinda relate to being a personalityless husk of a male who doesnt show much of an opinion on anything. Its quite common for pre-transition tgirls to live a sleepwalking life of indifference and directionlessness and i can kinda see that in MC.
Of course in MC's case, its because he actually IS a soulless personalityless game character who only really exists as a vessel for the player (opposite of kris deltarune). But a thing can dream, I like MC despite how much of a non-character he kinda is and thinking of him as a repressed tgirl makes him more interesting.

Its insane how many authors fail so horribly at 'show dont tell' considering its like, the number one storytelling rule. I was watching assasination classroom and it like, stopped at the end of an episode so the government guy could explain to the oversexualized woman how the classroom works. In that case it was telling stuff that had already been shown, but that kinda makes it worse because it feels like the writer doesnt think the audience is smart enough to know what was shown to them so they have to put this moment to make sure we get it.
"everyone here has 2 roles, teacher and target, student and assasin. Its an odd dichodomy" (not exactly what the guy said)
Ummmmm yeah dude thanks for telling me, thats like the entire concept of the show. Also I'm like 5 episodes in. Do you really think we havent figured it out by now? Do you really have to tell the audience to make sure we understand?
