Amazing what magical things can happen when you just keep pushing those limits.
Finally managed to overcome my fear of letting go and moved my hands down the pole after getting into my basic inversion! Yay!
My new Bad Kitty article about ten things every pole dancer hates to hear.
Day: 57, New Thing & frustration.
4/25/15
After a several week hiatus (my birthday & my instructor's competition THAT SHE WON!) I finally got back to the studio. I was so glad to be back. I picked up where I left off previously, trying to get this thing... My last session, I couldn't lady sit for shit. When I did, it really, really hurt- not my skin, but my inner thigh muscles. They felt really stiff against the Pole & any flexing I did to grip made it worse. So to get this new move today was really great.

I borrowed the PDC syllabus to get some ideas. I think I've spent more time with that than I did most of my college textbooks. I compiled a list of things to try & work on.
My list of "stuff I can do" feels really short. Combined with the other folks in my classes doing amazing I feel super frustrated. I know it's not a competition, but since I'm headed to competition, it's hard not to compare. I'm frustrated that I'm not getting anywhere with my routine because I just don't have the repertoire of moves to put anything together. I have 2 combos, (chair to back hook & pike to mermaid) and nearly nothing on my bad side. My bad side is exceptionally bad at everything in every facet of life. This worries me. My bad grip is next to useless, and strength in general is killing relatively simple things like apprentices. Ugh.
Injuries: Gnarly foot bruise/abrasion
New Skillz: Whatever that move is called from my video.
