Ship: Dean/Castiel (and other minor background)
During the summer of 1925, Sam and Dean Winchester move to the heart of New York Cityās bohemian entertainment district, Ā seeking out new lives where they can nurture and grow their art. Sam chases the dream of acting on a main stage, while Dean hopes to find inspiration for his grand love story. After meeting a gaggle of bohemian misfitsāCharlie, Ash, and Kevinātheir careers are projected forward faster than they are prepared for when a miscommunication lands Dean in the lap of Heavenās star, The Angel of Thursday; Castiel Grace. Dean becomes staff writer for Heavenās first big stage production while Sam finds himself in the lead role, opposite Castiel.
However, trouble and deception is afoot as Castielās body and attentions are contracted out Heavenās main investor; Duke Zachariah De Angelis. With her services and affections exclusively his, and Heavenās destiny in the hands of their deal, Castiel and Dean find themselves troubled as they fall in love behind the curtains of the main stage. Behind the backs of the Duke, Heavenās manager, Balthazar Milton, and the loathsome landlord, Naomi, Dean, and Castiel try to balance their secret affair in between friends warning them that itāll never work.
Everything comes to a head when the Duke discovers their love and threatens to close Heaven should Castielās affections for him wane. The Duke will do what it takes to have her to himself, even if it takes a murderous turn to keep her.
