Tropical/Temperate Gyarados ~ Unlike the Common Saltwater Gyarados found in most seas, the Tropical Gyarados is only found in warm and sunny waters and can't survive in temperatures below 11.5 degrees Celsius. Classic of many tropical fish, this smaller variety has more flamboyant fins and spiny plates running down the sides. The smallest of all Gyarados sub species, the Tropical Gyarados usually measures around 15 - 17 ft; almost a third smaller than the Common Gyarados.
