oh but imagine maxie being really sensitive to the cold since he was a child and archie knowing this (he pushed maxie into a rive once and maxie had hypothermia for a month)

so since then, even during the whole weather crisis, archie takes care not to freeze maxie to death.  annoy him to death maybe but never to touch that old wound

but anyway ever year since they were kids archie would secretly knit and deliver maxie a scarf, big enough for two and big enough to wrap around his entire head twice over. they never have many decorations or markings on them, usually just a little m knitted into the ends (and as maxie, archie friend, became maxie, leader of team magma, he made them resemble the M of team magma's logo more so) and maybe a few designs like the patterns on groudon.

Even though archie tries to be sneaky, he really does, maxie knows its him. its hard not to when Archie makes more noise then a tauras in a china shop. And even though he knows they were made by his annoying asshole of an enemy he never throws them away, never burns them, never 'accidentally looses them'. instead he wears them in the winter, in his house whenever hes cold
