Excellent waves out at Point Holmes a couple of days ago - glad I always have a pair of rubber boots in the trunk of my car.

355/365 Moody Point Holmes

Even with the weather socked in and the late day light flat and dull, the rocks at Point Holmes are so numerous that interesting combinations and view points are possible. On calm days I find that I like going with long exposure times to smooth out the calm water completely and add a bit of motion blur into the clouds. I left my 6-stop B+W ND filter at home and had to resort to the 10-stop ... which meant exposure times pushing 2 minutes. Do like the resulting mood though (enhanced a bit in Lightroom).
