Using ArcMap10 to create 2D transect feature shapes from GPS coordinates
I thought I’d save some of you some time as well as document my process so I don’t have to try and remember later.
Things you will need:
Location for the start and end of your transect via GPS converted to UTM.
Excel or other spreadsheet capable of saving into xls. (csv doesn’t tend to work well for me in ArcMap10).
