It was right in front of my hands, my eternal salvation, and I didn't take it out of love.
I've been planning for my departure- I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't want you to know How next to you, I- Paled-Â And flickered-Â And faded. I didn't want you To know anything at all. Forgive me For wrapping your head in wool And burying your body in sand. When I'm gone, I hope you don't think of me.
But, I cannot stop myself still- From watching, like a thief, Being fed, like a beast, By stolen glimpses- From the grave You dug for me. And- From- Quietly Silently Unbecoming myself And devouring it whole.Â
-There is no one here. In the empty spaces between my ribs, there will never be Anyone else here. Eat it, and eat it well When we meet, anew I hope you can rest there. That is my desire, and so it shall go- With the end of my life Bearing the fruit of my beginning. As I smile at you- and say: “Cut it open, dear, I left the knife out for you.”
